Spray, delay, walk away!

We're taking slow steps into the world of essential oils and we're starting by making our own homemade air freshener!
It was really simple and we already had most of the ingredients around the apartment!

All you need is water from the tap, a couple tbls of vodka or rubbing alcohol (we used vodka, duh!) and your choice of essential oils.
You need about 20-30 drops for an 4 ounce bottle.
We've heard a pinch of epsom salt keeps the oil from sticking on the sides of the bottle. Shake before spraying!

We used peppermint and citrus essential oils.
A minty fresh start to the New Year!

It's peppermint magic up in here!

  2. Sounds great! I think I will try lavender and lemon, or maybe cedar and citrus, or... Can you tell I'm excited to try this? :) Thanks, guys, for the inspiration!

  3. I often think shop brought air fresheners smell really artificial and are probably full of cr*p which is really bad for you. I did try homemade once years ago but found it went sticky so the epsom salt tip is a great one, I'll try this out. Thanks :-)

  4. The sounds like it would smell so good! If only there were smell-0-computers ;) Thanks so much for linking it up to the Inspiration Galore Project party last week!
